Universal Fascination: A Modern Cabinet of Curiosity

I’m excited to be participating in a group show, which will explore the collective interpretations of modern day curiosities. Given my long standing love affair with all things old, weird, and a little bit dark this was a no brainer for me. Though just about anything from my entire body of work would fit the bill, this exhibition opportunity was a gift to someone who has been severely paused in the production of her personal art for a very long time. Once distracted by the academic, professional, and other types of creative endeavors over these past several years, it feels great to be leaning back in to my own little art bubble, making new work with nothing holding me back.

If you are going to be in the Milwaukee area anytime between May 18 and July 6, please stop in to the Frank Juarez Gallery and see what Angela Minga, Erik Hancock, James “Jimbot” Demski (guest curator), Modesto (my husband, Brad!), Brandon Minga, and of course, myself have all been up to.
